This is a picture of Bay and Bloor Street in the 1900's. In the picture we can see a street car in the distance within the two tracks. There is also a horse and buggy to the right. The street has sidewalks on both right and left sides but, they are not very big and seems like they can't fit a large amount of people. There are no signs of nature, like tree's, in the picture. The power lines are above ground. To the left we can see what looks like the early start of commercial residential buildings. We can also see a clock tower, which could be the town hall, and behind the tower we can see what looks like a church.
BLOOR STREET IN THE 2000'S
This is a picture of Bay and Bloor Street in the 2000's. It has changed a lot compared to the 1900's. There are no more street cars in this photo along with the tracks on the street. Instead, there is now a two-lane car road as a replacement. Since we have cars now, there are no more horse and buggies (and no need). The sidewalks still look small and look like they can't fit a large amount of people. The street now has trees, people might have put trees because, they wanted to include open green space in the city. The power lines are now underground and the place there used to be power lines, there is now a street lamp. The commercial residential buildings are surprisingly still at the spot as it was in the 1900's. The clock tower that could of been town hall is now gone and is replaced with a tall residential building that could be a condo. People might have put an condo because, since Bloor street is such a popular street with lots of people, people might want a condo to fit a large amount of people in a small area, also because there is a high demand to house's for people who can afford to live in this location, which resulted in eradicating cultural landmarks in the city. Thus, the church that was behind the clock tower is now gone and replaced with buildings.
