This is a picture of St. Lawrence Market in the 1900's. St. Lawrence Market would be a commercial building. In the photo we can see rows of tables filled with foods. The foods are on the table. It is hard to tell how fresh are the foods, when they got transported to the market and where they would get transported from. There are lot of open space in the photo like, the plants located in different places all over the photo. Farmers could of have sold there foods to the market but, probably not in big quantities because, people wouldn't of have mechanization in that time. Working in St. Lawrence Market would be like working in the tertiary sector. It would be like working in the tertiary sector because, people have to do work like providing costumers with the help they may need help and selling products to costumers. The foods in St. Lawrence Market can go through all levels of industry Primary, Secondary and Tertiary also. That can happen because, for example St. Lawrence Market can sell a fish in their market. The fish can go through all levels of industry, the first step would be a fisherman catches a fish and that would be the primary industry. The fishermen can bring the fish to one of his friend who cleans the fish. That would be the second step and secondary level. The final step would be once the fish is cleaned, the fishermen sells the fish to St. Lawrence Market and that would be the tertiary sector.

This is a picture of St. Lawrence Market in the 2000's. Lots of changes can be seen compared to the 1900's. St. Lawrence is still a commercial building, but it obviously got renovated and got bigger. Working in St. Lawrence Market would still be like working in the tertiary industries. The foods are now on different sides of the market (Left and Right). Compared to the 1900's photo when we can see the foods were in front. The foods can sold and packed up in different places, like freezers, fridges, baskets and containers. People might have of done this to keep the foods fresher. This can show us an advanced in technology because, of things like fridges can keep foods fresher. Compared to the 1900's when there maybe no fridges to keep foods fresh. There is no signs of open space like, plants in this photo. Compared to the 1900's when the market had plants all over the photo. St. Lawrence Market can get all fresh foods from farms too because, of mechanization doing so much work on farms, bigger amounts of foods can be sold to St. Lawrence Market. Mechanization is also a advancement in technology. Just like in the 1900's St. Lawrence Market can go through all levels of industry Primary, Secondary and Tertiary.
